Properties

Rivers North Area owns and maintains a Girl Guide Hall in Prince George and six Girl Guide campsites with a variety of residential and tenting facilities for the use of our members.

 

These sites may also be rented by outside groups (schools, family reunions, weddings, retreats, etc...) This does not apply to Nukko. Nukko cannot be rented for weddings, family reunions, etc. Only events for youth through youth organizations.

 

If rental available, you will be asked to sign a 3rd Party License Agreement and provide proof of Liability Insurance.

GUIDING

Sleepovers - user fee - $10.00 per person per day

Area will pay $5.00 per person per night for sleepovers. The Hall will invoice Rivers North Area directly leaving $5.00 owing per person per day.

Area Meetings/Trainings/Events:

Small Meeting Room - $25.00 a day/$15.00 for less than 4 hours

Main Hall - $15.00 per hour up to a maximum of $100.00

Cancellation policy for Guiding members – Event bookings must be cancelled 1 week before or pay $50 cancellation fee.

Leaders should advise booking agent of # of girls/adults when keys are returned and/or complete purple hall use sheet with numbers. Payment can be left in the mailbox or given to the booking agent directly.

Booking Agent will notify Hall Treasurer as to how money was received & advise her of Unit #, Contact Person & # of people for billing.

 

NON GUIDING Renters

Minimum 2 weeks notice for contract to go to Province for approval.

Must include copy of Insurance.

Must have 3rd Party Liability Insurance of $2,000,000.00 & must include our name on the policy as follows:

We MUST see the policy before turning over keys

Description: Lake front property with two docks, outdoor chapel, large friendship fire, and outhouses. No power or drinking water. Propane fridge, stove and lights in cabins.

  • Longhouse Brownie cabin - Kitchen, eating area, sleeps 26, wood heat, deck over looking lake, outside shelter, picnic tables and fire ring
  • Chilcotin Cabin: -Two bedrooms, kitchen, living room, screened porch, wood heat and fire ring
  • Carrier tent site - Large tenting area, shelter, picnic tables, shower house and fire ring
  • Sekani tent site: Small tenting area, covered kitchen shelter, picnic tables, and fire ring
  • Haida tent site - Small tenting area, rustic site with shelter

Description: Over 200 acres of woodland fields surrounded by the Kiskatinaw River.

  • Guide house - 4 rooms with bunks, first aid room, large kitchen area

  • Tent sites- equipped with a dinning shelter.

Guiding Events

Members:  $3.50/night; No cost for Adult Members attending with Girl Members

Non-Guiding adults attending with Girl Members:  $4.00/night

$350/day, with a $200 damage deposit
